     tell me everything

I am so happy to be your teacher this year and to be part of the amazing faculty and staff of South Buffalo Charter School!  This year is going to be full of fun, learning, and growing.  You can look forward to learning lots of new skills and making wonderful new memories this year.  I can't wait!

I absolutely love teaching!  I have been actively involved in the teaching profession since 2001.  During this time, I have held various positions in classrooms ranging from Pre-K all the way up to the high school level.  I came to South Buffalo Charter School in 2020 after several years at Buffalo United Charter School.  There I taught 8th grade ELA as well as 4th grade.  Prior to that, I held various classroom positions at Notre Dame Academy in South Buffalo.

I am certified as a classroom teacher for Pre-K through grade 6 as well as a certified literacy specialist for grades K-12.  For the past few years I have also supervised, mentored, and provided instruction for groups of graduate students enrolled in the Literacy Specialist program at UB.  Teaching has always been a passion for me. I have a love of learning and I hope that my students will also learn to love it as much as I do.

When I’m not teaching, I love to spend time with my husband and our two rescue pups!  I have a long-haired dachshund named Brownie and a short-haired chihuahua named Apple.  You’ll be seeing lots of photos of them this year.  I like Tim Hortons, especially their hot chocolate, going to Target, trying new restaurants, and reading.  Colorful pens, markers, and chocolate make me happy!
