Dear Fourth Grade Parents,
Welcome to my classroom! My name is Michelle Heater and I am so excited to spend this year in fourth grade with your child! As I get to know your family, I wanted to take a moment to tell you a little bit about myself as well!
This will be my second year at South Buffalo Charter School and 13th year teaching various grades, ages and abilities in both public and private schools. I hold Professional NYS Certifications in both Elementary and Special Education with a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Curriculum and Instruction.
On a more personal note, my husband and I live in Williamsville with our three amazing children Jacob (grade 9), Emily (grade 6), and Addison (grade 4). I am on the world wide bone marrow donor registry and proudly donate my platelets for cancer patients every other Sunday. I am very much an animal lover and have an interesting collection of critters that I'm sure will be the topic of your dinner conversation from time to time!
I am extremely devoted to education and efficiency. I focus most of my teaching on visual and hands-on experiences to better engage my students. I believe in a structured routine that gives children the opportunity to celebrate and be proud of their success and good choices! I look forward to working with you and helping your child grow, learn, and be the best they can be! Please do not hesitate to contact me at any time!
Please check my classroom website often to keep up with classroom assignments, tests/quizzes, spelling/vocab lists, important reminders and pictures of our days in 4th grade! By working closely together, we can ensure your child has the most rewarding school year possible!
