Hello everyone and welcome to Kindergarten!  This is my 10th year teaching at SBCS and in Kindergarten.  I would not want to teach any other grade.  I love coming to school everyday and seeing all of your smiling happy faces ready to learn new things and explore our many different ways of learning.  No day is ever the same we always face new challenges and finding new ways to conquer them.

As a Kindergarten teacher it is my responsibility not only to teach each and everyone of these students how to write, read and do math but also to instill a love of learning and for them to know that they are not always going to be right and that’s ok…but we never give up!  We use our imaginations and go on adventures every day during our reading.  This also helps to build their love of reading in and out of the classroom.

I ask that we work together parents and care givers to provide a positive, supportive learning environment at home as well as at school.  It is important that your children are here each and every day to show the importance of acquiring an education.  You are the first teachers they have and believe it or not your expectations and values are instilled in them at a young age.  If you are positive about school they will be too.  Let’s work together to build a strong parent/teacher connection and make this year a great one.  Thank you for all you do parents and for sharing your little one with me!  I will take good care of them while at school and don’t ever hesitate to reach out to me for any reason or question.
